Jayde Fish, a San Fran-based artist came out of obscurity after Alessandro Michele himself scouted her from Instagram and after a couple of illustrations seen in the SS17 collections, Fish now raked an exclusive gig with Gucci and Colossal Media  to take-over a large-scale mural in New York City for 2017. The 2,500 square foot wall is located in the heart of Soho on Lafayette Street between Prince St. and Spring St. The wall serves as a blank canvas and highlights the beauty and uniqueness of the almost forgotten art form of hand painted outdoor advertising.

The wall launches with artwork from Fish and continues throughout the year with a variety of other collaborations. This first illustration was painted over the course of 6 days, debuting on February 6th to coincide with New York Fashion Week and remains through the end of March. Best part is not just the wall itself, anywhere close to the vicinity of the wal flick out your Snapchat filter around the area and you’ll find a specially designed filter created by Fish herself that you can play with! From 6th of Feb til March the 31st, you can spot the wall at Lafayette Street between Prince and Spring. See you there? 🙂
